This country gender assessment for the Philippines analyzes gender and development issues to help governments and stakeholders promote gender equality and empower women.

Country gender assessments analyze gender and development issues to help governments and stakeholders promote gender equality and empower women. The report was prepared by a team from the Asian Development Bank, Canadian International Development Agency, European Commission, United Nations Children's Fund, United Nations Development Fund for Women, and United Nations Population Fund, in partnership with the Philippine Government's National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women. Through a series of regional consultations and a final consultation, more than 200 representatives of government, nongovernment organizations, and civil society helped select chapter themes and fill gaps in the analysis, and shared personal and institutional case studies to enrich the narrative.
