People’s Republic of China: Songhua River Basin Water Pollution Control and Management Project
The project was designed as an integral part of the basin-wide Songhua water resources management initiative and the Songhua River Basin Pollution Prevention and Control Master Plan. It aimed to continue the ongoing effort of the Asian Development Bank to improve the environment of the Songhua River Basin and to complement the Jilin Water Supply and Sewerage Development Project and the Jilin Urban Environmental Improvement Project in improving pollution control in the Songhua River Basin. Improvements would contribute to integrated water resource management and pollution control, a basin-wide management program, and transboundary pollution prevention and control.
