    Armenia: Country Operations Business Plan (2019–2021)

    The country operations business plan (COBP), 2019–2021 of the Asian Development Bank for Armenia aligns with ADB’s country partnership strategy, 2014–2018 for Armenia and is in line with the government’s priority areas as articulated in its program for 2018. The COBP is consistent with the strategic priorities set out in ADB's Strategy 2030 and takes into account the transition to CPS, 2019–2023. This COBP supports government efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public services by supporting reforms in public sector management, finance, education, and health.

    Tajikistan: Country Operations Business Plan (2018–2020)

    The Tajikistan country operations business plan (COBP) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for 2018–2020 aligns with the country partnership strategy (CPS) for 2016–2020. The CPS aims to (i) support sustained and inclusive growth that is less susceptible to external shocks, and (ii) create higher paying jobs. The COBP also supports the government’s long-term national development strategy for 2016–2030.

    Eleven (11) Small Pacific Island Countries: Country Operations Business Plan (2018–2020)

    In 2016, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved the Pacific Approach 2016-2020 as the Country Partnership Strategy for the 11 small Pacific island countries (PIC-11).  In line with the Pacific Approach, the country operations business plan (COBP) also takes a multi-country approach to identify commonalities and opportunities for operational efficiencies across the PIC-11. The COBP is also aligned with the Midterm Review of Strategy 2020 and supports the three-pronged strategy of the Pacific Approach: reducing costs, managing risks, and enabling value creation.

    The Country Operations Business Plan (COBP) 2018–2020 of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is consistent with the Georgia country partnership strategy (CPS) 2014–2018, and the ADB strategic planning directions for 2017, focusing on sustainable transport, regional connectivity, and economic corridor development. The CPS and COBP are in line with the ADB Midterm Review of Strategy 2020, the Socio-economic Development Strategy of Georgia, and the Georgian government’s “Four-Point Action Plan.”

    This is the fourth country operations business plan (COBP) for Fiji under the country partnership strategy (CPS), 2014–2018.The CPS was developed through close consultation between the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the government, and other stakeholders, and is aligned with the government’s Green Growth Strategy 2015; the Pacific Approach 2016–2020 endorsed by the Board in August 2016; and ADB’s Midterm Review of Strategy 2020.

    The country operations business plan (COBP), 2018–2020 is consistent with the country partnership strategy, 2014–2018 of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Azerbaijan that focuses on promoting inclusive growth by increasing economic opportunities and improving access to basic services. The COBP is also aligned with the Government of Azerbaijan’s Strategic Roadmap on the National Economy Perspective adopted in December 2016, and considers the strategies and priorities of other development partners in Azerbaijan.
