Turkmenistan: Country Operations Business Plan (2016–2017)

Institutional Document | October 2015

The country operations business plan (COBP), 2016–2017 for Turkmenistan was formulated in line with the draft interim country partnership strategy (I-CPS), 2013–2015, as endorsed by the Government of Turkmenistan. The draft I-CPS identified energy and transport as priority areas for operations, with regional integration promulgated by the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation. The COBP, 2016–2017 (i) stays focused on the energy and transport sectors to ensure continuity and alignment with the draft I-CPS, and (ii) provides support for reform efforts through policy and advisory interventions.

Project-level interventions envisage, among other things, private sector promotion, knowledge sharing, and capacity building components, and their overall design will embrace key change drivers as well as key outcomes as derived from the Midterm Review of Strategy 2020 of the Asian Development Bank.
