Uzbekistan: Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 6 (Marakand–Karshi) Railway Electrification Project

This project was designed to support the development of Uzbekistan’s railway system and strengthen trade cooperation with neighboring countries by financing the electrification of the 140 km Marakand–Karshi section within CAREC Corridor 6. The project’s expected impact was increased regional trade and accelerated economic growth. Its targeted outcome was improved railway operations on the Marakand-Karshi railway section.
