2:00 p.m. Global launch: 2016 ADB trade finance gaps study
Be part of it! ADB’s Trade Finance Program (TFP) will launch this year’s annual trade finance gap study: "2016 ADB Survey on Trade Finance Gaps and Its Impact on Growth and Jobs". Alisa Di Caprio, Research Fellow at Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), will present the study’s key findings on global and regional trade gaps and their impact on jobs and growth.
Panelists from the trade finance industry’s most prominent thought leaders will discuss the challenges outlined in the survey. The panel features: Marc Auboin, Counsellor at World Trade Organisation (WTO) and member of Academic Committee at ICC Academy; and Michael Vrontamitis, Head of Trade at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and member of BAFT Global Trade Industry Council and ICC Banking Commission Advisory Board. The panel will identify challenges and opportunities for your trade finance business and the industry in general.
3:00 p.m. Annual TFP award ceremony
ADB holds its second Annual TFP Award Ceremony to recognize the significant contribution of its partners in promoting trade finance in Asia and the Pacific.
The energetic Vincent O’Brien, Adviser to the ICC, will host the event and Steven Beck, Head of Trade Finance at ADB, will present the awards.

This year’s TFP Award Ceremony will be held at the GTR's annual September conference — Global Trade Review (GTR) Asia Trade and Treasury Week 2016 — which is the best attended trade finance conference in Asia, a natural draw for many TFP participating banks, and an excellent opportunity to strengthen old relationships and forge new ones.
