Summary
Organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and Asian Development Bank, the virtual 2022 Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Institute Annual Conference examined keys to building resilience and economic growth in West and Central Asia in the face of uncertainty.
The conference focused on the green economy and sustainable development, understanding current business risks, and regional cooperation for advancing sustainable agriculture and food security in CAREC member countries.
It also featured a launch webinar that highlighted key takeaways from the new ADBI-CAREC Institute book COVID-19 and Economic Recovery Potential in the CAREC Region, as discussed by the coeditors of the book.
The conference provided simultaneous interpreting in English and Russian.
