ADB’s Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department and the Office of Information Systems and Technology will jointly organize Digital Week 2019. This will cover the following major activities: (i) Launch of the Digital Agenda 2030 and (ii) Inaugural Meeting of the Advisory Group on Digital Technology on 2 September; (iii) Digital Development Forum on 3-4 September, and (iv) CIO Panel and Digital Innovations Lab on 5 September.
The launch of the Digital Agenda 2030 will mark the first step of ADB’s digital transformation journey. Specifically, it will promote the six programs and the landmark projects under the Digital Agenda 2030, as well as highlight how digital is already making an impact in operational projects, while contributing towards and making use of a One ADB approach.
The inaugural meeting of the Advisory Group on Digital Technology (ADGT) will bring together ADB management and external experts and eminent thought leaders on ADB’s digital strategies for development. In this closed-door meeting, the ADGT will advise on digital technologies and their potential to contribute to ADB’s development objectives.
The Digital Development Forum aims to focus on the critical role of digital technology in the operational priorities under ADB’s Strategy 2030. Specifically, it will:
- Identify ways to adopt advanced technologies in ADB operations and increase the impact of ADB projects and programs; and
- Ensure integration of the Digital Development Action Plan into the operational priorities.
The CIO Panel and Digital Innovations Lab is centered upon opening high-impact discussions and knowledge-sharing on digital tools, processes, and mindsets to the ADB public.
