This ADBI Featured Speaker Webinar presented renowned political scientist Francis Fukuyama of Stanford University, who discussed the political and public policy calculus for advancing inclusive and sustainable digital development in Asia after the COVID-19 crisis.
Hosted by ADBI Dean Tetsushi Sonobe, Fukuyama examined onward challenges and opportunities governments in the region face toward optimizing the socioeconomic benefits of digitalization, competition, and innovation. Among them included rebalancing policy design to address digital divides and structural intervention to mitigate monopoly risks in the online marketplace.

About the Speaker
Francis Fukuyama is Olivier Nomellini Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and Director of the Ford Dorsey Master’s in International Policy. He has written widely on issues in development and international politics and is author of the acclaimed book, The End of History and the Last Man.
