Description

ADB’s aims to combine finance and partnerships with knowledge to help achieve its vision of a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific. While COVID-19 exacerbated the region’s development challenges, it also underscored the importance of evidence-based interventions to achieve policy goals effectively. A panel of experts will explore how economic research can support innovative solutions to the region’s development problems.

Objectives

Attendees will engage with the panelists to:

  • Consider how economic research from ADB and ADB Institute can contribute to better development results in Asia and the Pacific.
  • Discuss the role of economic research in enhancing ADB’s reputation as a knowledge bank, and what research priorities will be most “policy relevant” post-pandemic.
  • Explore the demand for knowledge solutions from ADB’s member governments, and how to better connect research with ADB operations.
