Georgia has one of the most dynamic private sectors in the Caucasus region, due to a combination of resilience, innovation, and its bridge position between Asia and Europe. Over the past years, ADB has been growing its footprint in Georgia, leading to several landmark transactions and solutions.

As ADB prepares for the 57th Annual Meeting in Tbilisi, ADB's Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) and Georgia Resident Mission (GRM) are organizing a three-day knowledge-sharing event from 27 to 29 February 2024 at ADB headquarters.

Through a series of workshops at ADB headquarters, ADB together with representatives of some of Georgia’s leading companies will be presenting and exchanging knowledge on how Georgia’s experience and ADB’s contribution to the market can benefit other developing member countries (DMCs) private sector shift.

Enhanced understanding of the lessons drawn from the Georgian market and its participants, leading to (i) identification of key drivers of change and impact; (ii) the identification of market requirements and impactful sectors aligned with ADB's strategic priorities in Georgia and the region, and (iii) devising optimized solutions and approaches by ADB for priority sectors and appropriate projects to ensure successful and impactful realization of the projects in Georgia, and to replicate successful structures/solutions in Georgia and beyond.
