Despite the strong economic growth enjoyed by most Asian countries in the past decades, some groups are falling behind, often because of the widening gap in income and wealth. If prosperity is to be shared, growth must be inclusive. The rapid advance of digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence, however, is accompanied by increasing concern about the future of jobs, wage inequality, and employment polarization.
