Summary
While the COVID-19 pandemic is increasing use of digital financial services, it also highlights unequal digital tools and services access as well as digital skills gaps, particularly among low-income households and small firms. Policy actions will be needed to address these obstacles to greater financial inclusion in developing Asia and the Pacific going forward.
This ADBI Policy Maker E-Training webinar will explore challenges and opportunities related to the advancement of financial inclusion, financial literacy, and financial education as drivers of post-COVID-19 sustainable development in the region. It will focus on the role of financial technologies, or fintech, and their policy implications.
