Description

While the sustainable bond market in ASEAN has grown significantly in recent years, it still accounts for less than 2% of the total outstanding bond market. A panel of experts will discuss options for increasing the supply of sustainable bonds in the region, share their practical experiences in terms of the challenges and benefits of issuing sustainable bonds, and discuss ADB's role in assisting interested entities under the Asian Bond Markets Initiative.

Objectives

Webinar attendees will have the chance to engage with the speakers to:

  • Learn about the practical steps for issuing sustainable bonds, from both the public and private sector perspectives
  • Understand external review process and information external reviewers typically look for in a sustainable bond framework
  • Discuss the roles of underwriters in the issuance process and ADB's technical assistance to potential issuers in the ASEAN+3 region
