Scam alert: Fake ADB recruitment

Please be aware of recruitment scams using the name of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

ADB has received information that an online job advertisement used the name of ADB for a job opening in Mysore, India (https://www.indeed.co.in/job/hr-executive-2f7a82484685f51b).

Some people have received calls in connection with job advertisement from the following numbers “998680047”, “9663558781”, “8296834926”, and “9535600457”, soliciting fees from job seekers as payment for alleged exams and training fees.

Please be advised that the advertisement was not issued by ADB. ADB does not charge any fees in relation to its recruitment and ADB does not have branch operations. All official recruitment by ADB is posted on its website:https://www.adb.org/site/careers/main.

Those who believe that they are being targeted by scammers are advised to:

  • Ignore such calls
  • Not to transfer any money to the caller
  • Report the matter to your local law enforcement agency or investigation bureau.
