While Asia and the Pacific has slashed extreme poverty by more than half - well ahead of the 2015 target - it is still home to 1.2 billion living on $3.10 per day or less, leaving a huge amount of work to be addressed by the proposed Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals.
ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
Established in 1966, it is owned by 68 members—49 from the region.
