The project aims to help seven of the most affected townships of Chin State when Cyclone Komen hit Myanmar in 2015. The project focused on restoring access (rural roads) and rebuilding community assets (water supply systems and electricity), as well as strengthening the capacity of state and local governments and communities to withstand future disasters (disaster risk management).

Climate Finance in 2023
ADB committed $10.7 billion in climate finance from investments, technical assistance, and direct charges. Of this total, $6.1 billion (57.4%) is expected to contribute to climate change mitigation and $4.6 billion (42.6%) to climate change adaptation.
