Photo Essay | 29 July 2015

Beyond the picture-perfect landscape, the Federated States of Micronesia is a country facing significant development issues. Its territory and population are at risk due to geographic vulnerability, fiscal instability and a stagnant economy.

In 2012, the Federated States of Micronesia government outlined its plans for social and economic development with a focus on local ownership of the process combined with strong support from international development partners, such as ADB.
