| Description |
The objectives of the TA are to identify issues and assess water supply and sanitation needs in the candidate project towns, prepare a project suitable for external financing for the sustainable improvement of 10-20 small and medium sized town environments in about five contiguous provinces in the southern central region, and prepare proposals for physical investments, financing mechanisms, operation and maintenance procedures, policy, institutional and regulatory reform, as well as capacity building for local authorities. Key activities include a socio-economic survey of the candidate projects towns and a needs assessment for water supply and sanitation, stakeholders' workshops and community meetings to obtain design outputs, presentation of key findings and recommendations, and project management. |
