Description The TA will prepare a project that will promote sustainable redevelopment of Sri Lanka's East Coast through better management of its natural resources. It will focus on environmental protection and poverty reduction through improved management of fisheries and coastal ecosystems. The TA will be implemented in two phases. A broad-based plan for the sustainable management of natural resources along the East Coast will be prepared during the first phase.

Consulting Services A multidisciplinary team of international and domestic consultants will work closely with counterpart staff from MFARD and NEPC. The consultants will provide about 62 person-months of consulting services: 28 person-months of international expertise and 34 person-months of domestic expertise. They will have extensive experience in regional development planning, environmental protection, fisheries planning and management, and ecotoursim development.
