Description The objective of the TA is to assist the Government in formulating a strategic road rehabilitation upgrading program consisting of: (i) rehabilitating high priority sections of the national road network in Kalimantan and Sumatra (ii) implementing policies included in the Government's Action Plan for Road Traffic and Transport Policies. The project will promote economic development and contribute to reduce poverty in the selected provinces.

Consulting Services The TA will require a total of about 56 person months of consulting services including 16 person months of international and 40 person months of domestic services. The international recruited consultants will have expertise in: (i) road engineering, (ii) transport and development economics, (iii) road transport policy, (iv) environmental impact, (v) social impact, (vi) poverty pro poor analyses, (vi) traffic studies, and (vii) institutional strengthening.
