| Description | The knowledge and support technical assistance (KSTA) will support stakeholder consultations for a corporate results framework aligned with ADB's new corporate strategy Strategy 2030. The framework will guide an objective and accurate assessment of the development and organizational effectiveness of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) using performance targets and indicators that reflect the directions and priorities of Strategy 2030. The KSTA is included in the 2018 management-approved work program of the Strategy, Policy and Review Department. | ||||||||
| Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | To help translate Strategy 2030 into measurable results, ADB will prepare a corporate results framework aligned with the strategy. Consistent with the principle of country ownership, it is vital to undertake comprehensive consultations with the DMCs and other stakeholders on key areas to be monitored under the new results framework. The new results framework will report on selected SDGs that are aligned with ADBs core areas of engagement under Strategy 2030. ADB is also further sharpening the definition and measurement of inclusive economic growth. In addition, Strategy 2030 will emphasize climate change and disaster resilience, green and sustainable infrastructure solutions, knowledge work, gender mainstreaming, and internal efficiency and effectiveness of ADB, which will be among key areas of measurement. Further, the development constraints that ADB and DMCs are working to overcome are challenging, long-term, and cumulative in nature. To provide a more complete performance story of ADB and its contribution to development outcomes, there is a need to carefully assess links between Levels 1 and 2 of the results framework, the cause-effect pathways that must occur to reach desired development outcomes, and issues of attribution versus contribution of ADB operations to expected results. Soliciting views of DMCs and other stakeholder on these and other priority issues will be essential. | ||||||||
