Description | The knowledge and support technical assistance (KSTA) cluster will help developing member countries (DMCs) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) deliver their commitments to reduce marine plastic pollution from 'source to sea. It will help (i) prepare action plans; (ii) form policy and regulations to encourage a circular economy; and (iii) prepare investments in integrated solid waste management and circular economy systems. It will also promote and facilitate regional cooperation and knowledge-sharing. | ||||||||||||||||||
Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | The TA is included in the management-approved 2019 results-based work plan for SDCC, and is aligned with Strategy 2030 operational priorities on environmental sustainability, livable cities, and regional public goods.
