Description | The knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) will help the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Mongolia develop options for promoting a gender inclusive green recovery following the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. This means a recovery focused on transitioning toward a climate-resilient and nature-driven future that emphasizes gender inclusion to maximize outcomes for both women and the environment. The TA will build capacity through demonstration, case studies, knowledge products, policy dialogue, and strengthening coordination and knowledge sharing with other developing member countries. | ||||||||

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) | Detailed TORs and cost estimates of all consultants under the two components have been finalized in consultation with three Implementing Agencies of two target DMCs. Consultants for the TA components are still in the process of recruitment: Output 1 - National consulting firm to develop capacities in the Yellow River Basin on gender equality and water resource management. Firms who sent out their EOIs are for review and shortlisting. Output 2: (a) National Consulting Firm for MON Circular Economy. The selected firm is under contract negotiation; (b) Green Finance Specialist (International Consultant). An expert has been selected and approval/endorsement of EARD management is being sought before contract negotiation; (c) Inclusive Finance Specialist (national consultant). Expert has been engaged and is on board; (d) TA Coordinator (national). Experts' applications are under review for shortlisting. |
