The investment program was to support the government’s efforts in providing reliable and efficient power supply to meet its growing energy needs, especially in secondary cities and rural areas. The investment program’s envisaged impact was increased availability of reliable electricity supply to all domestic consumers. The MFF and tranche 1 targeted the same outcome—improved efficiency and reliability of the power distribution networks. Tranche 1 and subsequent tranches had similar components, with the main differences being the locations selected.
