ADBI Dean and Think7 (T7) Japan Lead Chair Tetsushi Sonobe described T7 support for the Group of 7 (G7) and partners at a press conference on the role of official G7 engagement groups hosted by the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan in Tokyo on 29 March. Joined by senior representatives of Science7 (S7) and Civic7 (C7) under Japan’s G7 presidency, Dean Sonobe explained that research-based proposals produced by global experts via T7 seek to guide policy discussions at the G7 Hiroshima summit and beyond. He highlighted T7 Japan’s focus on promoting greater G7-Global South collaboration and bridging G7 and Group of 20 (G20) action to address shared challenges. He noted cooperation between T7 Japan and Think20 (T20) India to develop and promote joint recommendations for the G20 and G7. View the webinar recording
