Asian Development Bank and the Marshall Islands: Fact Sheet

The government has sought ADB assistance with development issues on the country’s outer islands, and to further improve the quality of basic education. ADB will support integrated strategic planning for investments in renewable energy and the institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Finance. Future ADB operations will also be complemented by regional technical assistance programs, particularly in the areas of economic management, private sector development, and public sector management.

ADB has been working with the Government of the Marshall Islands since 1990 and has approved 14 loans for $92.63 million, 6 grants for $11.26 million, and 52 technical assistance projects worth $22.17 million.
