Cambodia : Agriculture Sector Development
The TA will (i) conduct a study on the current situation and performance of the agriculture sector; (ii) assess the progress and impact of the reform measures launched under the First Agriculture Sector Program; (iii) examine past external assistance in agriculture and rural development in the country and lessons learned; (iv) examine critical issues and resource gaps remaining as constraints to agricultural growth; (v) assist the Government in formulating specific regulatory and institutional measures to achieve the sector objectives considered in the Second Socioeconomic Development Plan (SSDP: 2001-2005); (vi) prepare an investment proposal suitable for possible ADB financing; (vii) conduct necessary institutional, environmental and social assessments for the proposed investment; and (viii) examine financial and economic benefits, and risks involved in the proposed investment.
