China, People's Republic of : Dali-Lijiang Railway Project (Yunnan Province)
The objective of the technical assistance is to assist the Government to review and strengthen the feasibility study, the environmental impact assessment, resettlement plan and the ethnic minority development plan to satisfy the requirements for ADB financing of the proposed project. The scope of the technical assistance will cover railway engineering including alignment review, intermodal traffic analysis, economic, financial and socio economic analysis, review of resettlement plan, environmental impact assessment and ethnic minority development plan. Local survey for resettlement and socio economic sampling will also be undertaken. The project envisages the construction of a 166 km Class I single track railway between Dali to Lijiang in Yunnan Province. Total project cost is estimated at $550.0 million.
