China, People's Republic of : Shandong Hai River Basin Pollution Control Project
The objective of the TA is to assist the Shandong Provincial Government (SPG) to prepare a project suitable for ADB financing by assessing the technical, environmental, financial, economic, social and institutional feasibility of a proposed investment project comprising water supply, wastewater treatment and solid waste management to control pollution within the expanding secondary town areas of the Hai River basin in Shandong Province and to improve water quality in the urban streams from the current worse than Class V to between Class III and V. A total of 12 project components across 9 cities and towns in 4 of the 5 northernly municipal regions in Shandong province within the Hai River basin have been identified as forming the proposed Project. The project components are divided into three groups: municipal water supply and wastewater treatment municipal solid waste management and major industrial wastewater treatment.

| Consulting Services | The total input of consultants is estimated at 38 person months, consisting of 14 person months of international consultants and 24 person months of domestic consultants.
