Objectives and Scope
Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy

ADB's strategic thrust with respect to subregional cooperation includes the promotion of private sector activities as a means of accelerating economic development in the region. Among the benefits expected are the added opportunities to increase cross-border trade in goods and services and to promote private sector investment, including export-oriented endeavors.

The Fund's focus on regional cooperation and development is consistent with ADB's development strategy.
