China, People's Republic of : Wuhan Wastewater and Stormwater Management Project
The technical assistance will prepare a project that would improve environment conditions in Wuhan, the capital city of the Hubei Province, through improved wastewater and storm water management. The ensuing project is expected to include the following components: (i) construction of storm water drainage improvement facilities covering an area of about 150 km2 and expansion of the Hanxi wastewater treatment plant (Phase II) with a treatment capacity of 400,000 m3 day and associated about 100 km of sewer network in the Hankou district (ii) construction of a new wastewater treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 50,000 m3 day and associated sewer network in the Hanyang district and (iii) capacity building of the existing wastewater company.

| Consulting Services | The TA will require 41 person months (pm) of consulting services consisting of 14 pm of international consultants and 27 pm domestic consultants. The international consultants will have expertise in wastewater and or drainage management, environment, social analysis, financial analysis, economic analysis, and institutional develoment. The domestic consultants will have expertise in engineering services (wastewater and or drainage management, sewer networks, costing, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation), environment, sociology, financial analysis, economic analysis, and institutional development. |
