Armenia : Municipal Services & Infrastructure Development Sector
Building on the sector work and reforms carried out by the Government and international donor institutions, the SSTA will (1) review the sector policy; (ii) review and strengthen the sector investment program; (iii) undertake technical and financial due diligence and propose measures for improvement of the project executing and implementing agencies financial and technical capacity; (iv) undertake technical, financial, and economic feasibility study of the core investment subprojects; (v) assess the required social and environmental issues in the sector and assist the executing and implementing agencies in preparing all the required safeguard frameworks; and (vi) develop a sector investment project that will increase coverage, quality, and technical and financial sustainability of WSS services in the selected project areas, thereby, improving health and quality of life of their residents.
