Description of Project Outputs

1. Pilot implementation of capacity development action plans (CDAPs) in the pilot river basins in Aceh and North Sulawesi.

2. National strategy endorsed for capacity building on water resoures management.

3. Increased capacity of six pilot river basin councils in the Aceh and North Sulawesi provinces.

4. Participatory strategic river basin frameworks (pola) and implementation plans (rencana) prepared.

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues)

(i) Implementation of the CDAPs has been completed in pilot river basins in Aceh, North Sulawesi, Banten, and Maluku Provinces.

(ii) The National Strategy for Capacity Building in Water Resources Management (the National Strategy) and the related DGWR's specific action plan have been drafted for endorsement.

(iii) provincial and river basin councils in the Aceh, North Sulawesi, Banten, and Maluku provinces have been strengthened.

(iv) POLA and RENCANAs have been drafted
