| Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | To rehabilitate the urban infrastructure and further strengthen its environmental management system, Wuzhou Municipal Government has prepared a project proposal requesting ADB financial support. Wuzhou is located in one of the poor interior provinces in western PRC, support for which is an operational priority for ADB. Support for urban development, particularly in the area of urban environmental management and upgrading, is a strategic focus area of ADB lending operation in PRC. | ||||

| Consulting Services | 33.5 person months of international (10.5 pm) and national (23 pm) consultants will be engaged through a firm in accordance with ADB's Guidelines on the Use of Consultants using quality and cost based selection method and biodata technical proposal. The consultants will have expertise in urban development, economic analysis, financial analysis, poverty and social safeguards, environmenal impact assessment, resettlement, bridge engineering, civil engineering, industrial wastewater management, geological disaster management and institutional analysis. |
