Major Components:

1. Situation analysis: review of the private health sector in selected Asian countries (preliminary list: PR China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, one CAR, one Pacific country)

2. assessment of the role of the private sector in improving access to, and quality of, health services

3. multipartite workshops (private sector - government - civil society including research institutions and beneficiaries)

Support for regional cooperation and integration

Impact The project impact will be strengthened regional and country capacity for evidence-based health policy and decision-making.

Project Outcome

Description of Outcome The outcome will be better knowledge of the health systems and policy issues in the region, and information (data and analyses) available to support evidence-based health policy and decision-making.
