Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) | For the Loan under subprogram 2, the total loan amount has been fully disbursed in Feb 2012. For the TA 7210-PHI, this has been financially closed in Oct 2012. For the TA 8006-PHI, implementation is on going. Several individual consultants have been engaged and whose contracts are still on going. In various levels and capacity, they are assisting and providing technical support to SC, DOJ and other justice sector agencies. Workshops and trainings are also conducted as part of capacity building activities under the TA. |

During Project Design | This is subprogram 2 of the program cluster approved in December 2008. A loan to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines for The Governance in Justice Sector Reform Program (GJSRP) for the Republic of the Philippines was approved on 16 December 2008, for $300,000,000 (ADB. 2008. Report and Recommendation of the President to the Board of Directors on a Proposed Program Cluster, Loan for Subprogram 1 and Technical Assistance Grant Republic of the Philippines: Governance in Justice Sector Reform Program. Manila (Loan No. 1946 for $300 million, approved on 16 December 2008). This loan was disbursed under subprogram 1. The policy measures were anchored in the Medium-Term Philippines Development Plan 2004-2010 (MTPDP). The MTPDP envisions judiciary that is independent, effective, and efficient, resulting from reforms in the justice system. the procesing of the policy based loan commenced in June with a reconissance mission, followed by a fact0finding mission in August. This proposed program is in advanced stage of processing, and further progress is awaited |
