Consistent with Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Transport and Trade Facilitation Strategy (November 2007), ADB's overall Regional Cooperation Strategy and Country Partnership Strategy for Tajikistan
Impact

The proposed project will contribute to an integrated and efficient road transport link by (i) rehabilitating 66km of the road connecting Dushnabe and Uzbeksitan border, and (ii) upgrading of cross border infrastructure and facilities at Bratsvo border post. This will complete improvements to the remaining missing link of CAREC III corridor in Tajikistan. The TA will further promote conducting road sector and cross border operations with greater transparency and public scrutiny.

Consulting Services ADB will select and engage an internationally recognized consulting firm in association with national consultants, with relevant experience in all aspects of the specified scope of work, in accordance with the Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by Asian Developemnt Bank and its Borrowers (2007, as amended from time to time). The simplified techncial proposal and the quality-and-cost based selection will be used in selecting the consulting firm. The TA will require 20 person-months of international and 36 person-months of national consulting services.
