The TA will address weaknesses in road network planning and road development within the Heart of Borneo (HOB) area in Kalimantan that if not corrected will potentially produce unsustainable negative environmental impacts. The TA will support environmental issues in HOB identified under the proposed Regional Roads Development Project that will be processed in 2009-2010. Through strengthening institutional capacity in environmental management in Kalimantan, the TA will compliment environmental capacity building programs under the ongoing road sector loans in Indonesia.|
