Regional : Addressing the Pre- and Postharvest Challenges of the Rice Supply Chain
The proposed RDTA will continue the work initiated under the first component of the ongoing RETA XIII on ANRR for the International Agriculture Research Centers (RETA 6489). Approved on September 2008 RETA 6489 was one of the major responses of ADB in addressing the 2008 global food crisis in a sustainable manner. It has 2 components: the first dealt with reducing preventable pre and post harvest losses in Asia with the IRRI as its implementing agency while second subproject looked at agricultureal policies that can ensure both short and long term food security with the IFPRI as its implementing agency.
