|Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy||The TA will support human resource and technical capacity development for gender-integrated planning, monitoring and evaluation of the agriculture sector. As such, the TA falls under CPS Midterm Review 2007-2011, Pillar III goals to support both capability of public officials and capacity of selected sectors to develop sector strategies and improved budgeting, planning and management capabilities established in ministries in which ADB is providing support. The TA is in line with the National Growth and Poverty Eradication Strategy's Gender Strategy (NGPES 2006), the National Strategy for the Advancement of Women (NSAW 2006-2010), and MAF's Resolution for Gender Mainstreaming (MAF 2008).|
|Impact||The impact of the TA will be the effective implementation of a gender-sensitive Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) strategy and action plan.|
|Description of Outcome||The expected outcome of the TA will be the effective integration of gender issues into MAFs plans, programs and projects.|
|Progress Toward Outcome||
Orientation workshops for 3 pilot provinces conducted. Each workshop included gender analysis modules, integration of gender analysis in planning cycles, monitoring and evaluation and results-based framework.
Learning workshop was condcuted with participants from MAF, DAW and participating projects.
Final workshop conducted which included distribution of final training manual.

Key planning members and staff from the sub-Committee for Advancement of Women (CAW) attended the orientation workshops. Five key members from sub-CAW were provided with a training-of-trainers sessions that preceded the actual workshops.
Guidelines for sex-disaggregated data collecion has been prepared.
Gender Integration Manual has been finalized.
