Description REG: CLEAN RESOURCES ASIA GROWTH FUND
Objectives and Scope The Fund's objective is to leverage the domain knowledge and industry contacts of the clean technology platform of CLSA Capital Partners (the Fund's sponsor). The Fund will capitalize on its management team's US and Asian clean technology experience and global network of clean technology investors. The Fund invests in companies in the clean technology sectors that have revenues and operations in Asian markets.
Status of Development Objectives The Fund's investment increased the contribution of investee companies and projects to economic growth, improved corporate governance in investee companies and projects, and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in ADB's DMCs.
Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy The investment in the Fund is aligned with ADB's Strategy 2020, which seeks to reduce povery and improve living conditions and quality of life in part by scaling up private sector development and supporting environmentally sustainable development, particularly with respect to projects that aim to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and that address climate change.
