Progress Toward Outcome Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) is implementing a set of knowledge management activities to support the strategic development focus of the Government of Bangladesh and ADB for sustainable and inclusive growth through knowledge management, aimed at enhanced operational effectiveness.

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) Progress of the TA implementation is good. The capacity building programs are being imlemented to give executing agency and ministry staff full and detailed understanding of ADB guidelines and ADB requirements on safeguards, governance, financial and procurement audits, financial management, consultant recruitment and procurement.

Consulting Services

National short-term individual consultants and international resource persons will be recruited to provide specialized inputs for capacity development. The consultants and resource persons need to have substantial experience from development of training material and delivery of training required sector/cross cutting theme experience. Their involvement will be endorsed by the country director of the Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM). The short-term consultants and resource persons engaged under the technical assistance will be recruited by the Asian Development Bank in accordance with its Guidelines on the Use of Consultants (2010, as amended from time to time). They will be hired on a needs basis, depending on operational requirements. The detailed terms of reference (TOR) will be prepared for the services and may include the following:

(i) Prepare training material/knowledge product

(ii) Provide input to BRM training plan

(iii) Support BRM mission leader in arranging training

(iv) Deliver training government staff/present knowledge product

(v) Compile training material/knowledge product considering comments

(vi) Submit report on training/services delivered
