Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | Mongolia is a large, sparsely populated country located between the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Russian Federation. Rapid development of mining sector brought to the country economic growth but limited employment, the critical ingredient of inclusive economic growth. To promote inclusive economic growth, regional economic cooperation and trade the country needs to develop its regional road network, trade and logistics infrastructure and thereby boost agriculture, agribusiness and tourism. To ensure sustainability of its transport infrastructure, it needs to establish an efficient road asset management system. | ||||||||
