Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy The PPTA is a preparation for the proposed Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridors 1 and 3 Connector Road (the project). The project will improve regional and national connectivity by rehabilitating an estimated 253 kilometers (km) of road sections connecting the CAREC Corridors 1 and 3 in the center of the Kyrgyz Republic. The proposed project is consistent with the government's priority of providing alternate access in regional and national connectivity, and align with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Partnership Strategy (2013-2017), Midterm Review of Strategy 2020 and Country Operations Business Plan (2015-2017).
