The use of information and communication technologies in agriculture (alternatively referred to as eAgriculture) to improve access to information on (i) market data and analysis, (ii) area specific weather alerts, and (iii) improved technologies and techniques have increased productivity, efficiency and profitability of stakeholders along value chains. A properly set up and financially sustainable eAgriculture system through public-private partnership business model is essential for upscaling and sustaining the services. The proposed knowledge and support technical assistance (TA) is expected to enhance greater use of these high-level technologies in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, and Vietnam.

Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) Under Output 1, business model development for Pakistan has been completed. For Output 2, recruitment of consultant to support GIS-based land inventory establishment and socio-economic survey in hilly areas in Nepal is ongoing. Meanwhile, terms of reference for consultants who will support work in Tajikistan is under preparation.

Consulting Services The services under this TA require both individual and firms. ADB will engage the consultants following the ADB Procurement Policy (2017, as amended from time to time) and its associated project administration instructions and/or staff instructions.
