Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy | 1. The project preparatory technical assistance (PPTA) is necessary on the following grounds: (i) The investment project is urgently needed in Pakistan. (ii) While the government has a plan to invest in the project, there is a need to conduct a detailed due diligence and pre-feasibility to process the investment project and loan. (iii) Executing agency's lack of capacity and resources to conduct the required due diligence. (iv) Expertise of competent international and national consultants is needed to prepare the project considering its technical complexity and scale. |
