Project Rationale and Linkage to Country/Regional Strategy

A preliminary review of the feasibility study and site visit of the M6 concluded that (i) the M6 is very important with poor condition and several safety hazards, and needs to be improved, and (ii) ADB may consider financing this international highway project to improve Armenia's connection with its neighbor country to comply with ADB's transport strategy for improvement of other roads linking Armenia to Georgia.
