Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) ADB has secured no-objection from the eleven CAREC member countries (CMCs). Evaluation and approval of overall ranking of consultants have been done. The first ranked firm will only be invited for negotiations after memo requesting increase in TA amount ($1,500,000) has been approved by the president. The memo is submitted to VPO1 on 19 September 2017. Collaboration with the International Atomic Energy (IAEA) was agreed on April 2017. IAEA has secured $500,00 of their fund to provide technical and support in its areas of expertise for Outputs 3 and 4.

Consulting Services An international firm has been recruited to implement the TA using the quality- and cost-based selection method with a quality-cost ratio of 90:10 and simplified technical proposals. Implementation requires 15 person-months of international and 25 person-months of national consultants. The reporting requirements include inception, interim and final reports.
Procurement All procurement will be carried out in accordance with ADB s Procurement Guidelines (2013, as amended from time to time).
