Description of Outcome | Adequacy and sustainability of energy supply increased |
Progress Toward Outcome | Recruitment of two PMCs is ongoing, with target mobilization by Q2 or early Q3 2021. |

Description of Project Outputs | Geothermal power plants constructed and commissioned Institutional capacity of GDE strengthened Community development program enhanced |
Status of Implementation Progress (Outputs, Activities, and Issues) | Gender responsive communication packages under preparation. The main contractors' Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) have the Emergency Response and Preparedness (ERP) section in the documents. Close coordination with HSSE Environmental Unit has been maintained for the future implementation of the public consultation of the ERP for the respective community. The same documents were confirmed to be gender mainstreamed. Development of the TOR and workplan with schedule and target participants are plan for Q1 2022. A pre-feasibility study had been prepared. The FS will be done by AECOM (PMC). Based on AECOM's proposal, the FS for direct use of geothermal energy will be done in Q4 2022. In progress. GDE has allocated budget for community development programs. Patuha Total budget: IDR 2,700,000,000 UMKM local snack (makanan) and scholarship: IDR 800,000,000 (30%) Dieng Total budget: 22,697,018,948 UMKM Carica, local snack (makanan), local training, cooperation, managing garbage (50% women), air bersih (IDR 2 billion), and scholarship: IDR 7,365,000,000 (32%) To monitor continuously the community development plans and to assure that at least 30% of the implementation on the plan would be allocated to women. Drilling activities have started. Additional pilot plant testing was done in December 2021, followed by 3 months analysis and reporting. Test results are critical to EPC bid document preparation. FEED engineering has progressed in those areas not dependent on pilot plant data, but process design has been limited. Selection of process design conditions will allow process design and other workstreams to proceed. Technical complexities of Dieng will require careful management and control by PMC/PMU to minimize delay and uncertainty in plant cost. Preparation of EPC bidding documents has started. Advertisement is expected in Q2 2022. Drilling activities have started. Plant, SAGS, and transmission concepts are relatively straightforward. Preparation of EPC bidding documents has started. Advertisement is expected in Q2 2022. As of 31 Dec 2021, 491 training days dedicated to increasing knowledge in project and contract management (male: 371 [76%]; female: 120 [24%]) The project is implementing the Environmental Management System (EMS) that will be accredited while renewing certification in 2023 for Dieng 2 and 2024 for Patuha 2. The public consultation was started in Q4 2021. In Patuha, the activity was held on 8 October 2021 and participated by 26 female and 26 male community members. In Dieng the activity was held on 29 October 2021 and participated by 5 female, 39 male, and 5 children community members. As of 31 Dec 2021, 116 GDE staff were trained (male: 104 [90%]; women: 12 [10%]) |
